How verification works on Zeroa

Nobody has ever enjoyed this part. You know the routine — find the ID, find something with your address on it, photograph your own face at an unflattering angle. Zeroa asks for the same three things, and there is a decent reason behind it.
Every licensed financial services provider has to know who its clients are. It is called KYC, short for know your client, and on Zeroa it is the door that opens everything else.
So: a government-issued identity document, proof of where you live, and a photo of you taken then and there. That last one is what ties the document to the actual human holding it, which is why an old selfie will not do. You will need to be 18 or older.
It takes a few minutes. Once it is approved, you are ready to use Zeroa's services.
One thing worth reframing while you are digging out your utility bill. It is easy to read identity checks as a company being difficult. They are not optional, and they are one of the clearest signs you are dealing with a real provider. Somewhere that never asks who you are is not being relaxed.
All of it happens in your browser at www.zeroa.io. Nothing to download, nothing to install.
And if a document comes out blurry or a detail does not match, it comes back to you rather than being thrown out. Retake it, send it again, carry on. Chembridge Capital (Pty) Ltd t/a Zeroa, registration number 2014/064942/07, is an authorised Financial Services Provider, FSP No 36012. Investing in crypto assets may result in a loss of capital.
